Getting a job in investment banking is a highly competitive process, which gives you little margin of error when it comes down to your resume. While there is no such thing as the perfect investment banking resume (banks will not expect you to have perfect scores, be the president of every club in your school and speak 5 languages), there are nevertheless common mistakes that applicants make and that you should avoid. This is our list of investment banking resume common mistakes.
1. Typos / grammatical errors
Can I get a job in investment banking with a 2.2 or a 3rd?
Will banks look at my application if I have a 2.2 or a 3rd?
The harsh reality is that most big banks will discount anyone without a 2.1 degree, even if you have graduated from the best universities in the country.

Is Speaking European Languages important in London Investment Banking?
So as a student, you may be wondering how important are European languages? and also Is is a big weakness to only speak English or non-European languages?. As an international student, what can I do to to do well in interviews? From what we've experienced, here are our observations:

A question that we often hear about brainteasers is "how important is the ability to make quick calculations and solve brain teasers in investment banking interviews, relative to other portions of the interview?", or, simply said "How important are brainteasers?"
Brainteasers are not a major part of the interview process compared to your performance on the other parts, but they are useful for the interviewers for the following reasons:
