Montagu Private Equity is an independent mid-market European private equity investor, backing management buyouts and other private equity deals. They operate through offices in London, Manchester, Paris, Düsseldorf and Stockholm.

The firm operates since 1968. It was initially the European private equity arm of HSBC but spun out in 2003. HSBC still is a minority shareholder in the business.

Investment Strategy
