Cranfield University

Cranfield Investment Society (CIS) recognize the importance of finance and investment in each of our daily lives. The Cranfield Investment Society is a University-based organisation that provides information on the intricacies of the financial services sector and related fields. More concretely, our goal is to provide our members with the foundation skills and relationships to develop successful financial careers.

The Investment Society was founded in 2011 by two MSc Finance and Management students, Keegan Josinho Varella (Founder) and Wing Lam Pong (Co-Founder) keen to share their knowledge of finance and investments and to help develop the careers of their fellow students. CIS is open to anyone in the University and the society aims to cater to anyone with an interest in the finance and investment sector. We aspire to remain a vibrant, innovative and open society, welcoming students with a passion for the industry. The mission of the Investment Society is to improve members' understanding of investment management; to help members develop practical investment skills and test them in the markets; and to create superior access to career opportunities in the investment industry.

By establishing links with financial firms, both small and large, the Society aims to provide information about key firms and contacts within this sector to those interested in entering the world of finance. We assist those firms by providing a platform from which to progress their graduate recruitment programs, inspire potential recruits, and hopefully fulfill our members’ career aspirations.
