The Opportunity:

Realistically the best opportunity I ever get for very bright graduates to work within the middle office of a hugely successful boutique asset manager / hedge fund. I have placed circa 6 people into this team over the years, a large proportion of which have moved internally into exciting front office roles
The opportunity is to develop your experience within financial services (ideally asset management), complete your studies (IMC; CFA) and forge a long term career within this business
These specific positions have come to be as several current members of the team are moving into the front office. This clearly demonstrates the career enhancing opportunity within this role (depending on your performance also)
The role is very broad. You will effectively act as the conduit between the various investment teams and the outsourced service providers (Prime Brokers / Administrators). This position is effectively a “control” role, ensuring that there are no errors or breaches
More specific duties will include, calculation of NAV estimates, ensuring accuracy of NAVs produced by the administrators, trade reconciliations, project work etc.
Forging a close working relationship with the front office teams, all of which manage funds across a variety of asset classes and fund structures (both long-only and hedge funds)
Your Experience:

You MUST be a relatively recent graduate with a super record of academic achievement. You MUST have a 2:1 degree (minimum) from a top-tier University, within a numerical or finance focused degree
It is likely that you will have some financial services related work experience and a real desire to work within a dynamic and entrepreneurial investment management business
It is preferred that you have some familiarity with the workings of a fund middle office, but not essential
For one of these roles, you MUST have excellent IT skills… an advanced knowledge of VBA, SQL, .net is required
You will possess a “can do” attitude and a strong work ethic. This firm will expect you to be able to add value and contribute quickly to the team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
