Industry Private Equity

Languages
Deadline Saturday 27th July 2013

Responsible to: Head of Advisory

Company Overview: Climate Change Capital (“CCC”) is an investment banking advisor and asset manager focused on financing the migration to a low carbon economy.
In its asset management arm the company operates one of the world’s largest pools of carbon credits, a clean private equity fund with €200m of committed capital and a climate change focused property fund.
The advisory team advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, financings, fund raisings and strategy in the renewable energy, clean energy and climate change related markets. We look to help clients create and finance the companies which will build a low carbon economy of the future.
CCC is differentiated by its mission to deploy capital to deal with the climate change problem, and by its belief that as a global public good, climate change mitigation will always be strongly affected by policy. We look to bridge the gap between policy and finance: providing a degree of financial insight not found in the policy arena and a degree of policy insight not found in the financial markets.
CCC is owned by Bunge Limited the US listed agri-business and food company.

The Opportunity: The Advisory team within CCC provides advice across the spectrum of transaction types including corporate finance, M&A, project finance, and strategic and policy consulting in the climate change sector. The team consists of eight professionals.
The successful applicant will join a highly motivated and busy team and will be expected to become immediately involved in transactions working at all stages of the deal process from assisting with the preparation of pitches to clients through to execution and closure of the deal.
This is a tremendously exciting time to join a firm at the vanguard of policy and capital deployment within the climate change and renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
financial modeling and valuation work;
preparation of information memoranda, business plans, pitches, presentations etc.;
managing day-to-to flow of information to clients;
financial and strategic analysis;
day-to-day deal management.

Qualification and experience:
Up to 5 years relevant full-time work experience;
First-rate academic qualifications;
Relevant experience at a recognised financial institution, ideally in corporate finance / M&A;
Financial qualification of some nature (ACA, CFA, CIMA etc) would be an advantage;
Language skills are an advantage but not essential.
The firm itself is uniquely focused on climate change related transactions, and therefore enthusiasm for the sector, and knowledge of the policies which underpin it, will be important for success within the firm.

Remuneration: We offer competitive base salary and bonus incentive structures

The deadline for applications is the 31st July, 2013 although early application is encouraged.
