Responsibilities :
In this role, the Associate will be involved in supporting fundraising efforts and relationships with limited partners. The Associate will have significant interface with members of the firm’s global real estate group, legal/compliance department, finance and other groups within the firm. The Associate will spearhead multiple projects at one time such as developing standard due diligence materials for distribution to potential investors, preparing presentations for investors, assisting with investor due diligence requests, conducting market research, and assisting with the fund closing process. The Associate will also be exposed to legal issues associated with fund raising and fund documents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn about real estate, would like to be actively involved with senior members of the real estate team and support fund raising activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours. The successful candidate should possess a strong attention to detail, be able to multi-task, have superior communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively, and a desire to work in a team environment, often under pressure to meet demanding deadlines in a fast paced environment. Other requirements include:
Background in an Alternatives firm, with experience working on developing training and marketing materials for Real Estate and Private Equity funds and Fund of Hedge Funds is required.
Prior experience in Investor Relations and Fixed Income Sales is required.
An undergraduate degree is required.
Top-notch Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
