Position Summary
• The J.P. Morgan Cazenove UK Corporate Finance Execution/M&A team is responsible for execution of public and private M&A transactions involving UK corporate and financial sponsor clients and for overseas clients involving businesses based in the UK. We maintain leading relationships with some of the most prominent clients in the UK and aid them, through M&A, in delivering on their corporate strategy and structure. We are involved in the vast majority of the major M&A transactions that take place in the UK and consistently rank as one of the UK’s pre-eminent M&A advisory franchises. Often, members of the deal team interact on a daily basis with the client’s CEO and CFO
• Origination and primarily execution of public and private mergers, acquisitions and disposals across all industry sectors together with other bankers from the M&A team, as well as colleagues from industry, country and other product teams.

Key responsibilities
As an Investment Banking Analyst, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Transaction execution: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc)
• Working with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams
• Building and using complex financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises
• Drafting presentation materials, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue
• Keeping abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics

Qualifications
The work is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. We look for candidates with the following:
• Outstanding financial analysis and modelling skills
• Strong interest and focus on deal execution
• Strong academic background
• Solid communication and project management skills
• In-depth understanding of investment banking products is preferable (can be enhanced and further built via training)
• Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers is preferable (can be enhanced and further built via training)
• Strong team player
• Proficient in MS office applications
