Team Description
Our Financial Institutions group provides financing and advisory services to institutions worldwide, including banks, insurance companies, asset management firms, financial technology companies and specialty finance institutions.
With nearly 300 employees across the globe—and an expanding footprint in growth markets such as Latin America, Central Europe and China—our specialists offer a wide suite of products, including M&A advisory, equity and debt financing, structured finance and risk management/hedging.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Investment Banking Analysts at Goldman Sachs gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. Analysts create and analyze financial models, performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the effects of client alternatives. In addition, Analysts organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Analysts may also participate in and conduct due diligence sessions, a necessary component of financial transactions. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our Analysts are a vital part of Goldman Sachs’ banking teams.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications
• German language fluency
• Candidate must have completed an undergraduate degree
• Current experience as an investment banking Analyst (or related financial position)
• Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong quantitative and technical abilities
• An outstanding academic record
• Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
• Strong communications, multi-tasking and time management skills
