Team Summary
·      JP Morgan’s UK Diversified Industries business covers a large share of the UK listed corporate client base (including a mix of capital goods, support services, utilities, oil field services, chemicals and transport).  We provide a range of advice in relation to domestic and cross border disposals, mergers, acquisitions as well as advice and execution of equity issuance and capital structure and more broadly around strategy. This advice is provided alongside a corporate broking role which involves extensive interaction with the equity research and equity sales teams as well as the CEO and CFO of the Corporate

Position Summary
Members of the team spend time supporting and advising our existing client base, marketing to potential clients (both public and private) and executing transactions for our clients (including M&A, equity capital markets and debt capital markets mandates).  We have an opening for a junior Analyst and a junior Associate within the team.  They would be expected to assist senior members of the team in providing corporate broking services, executing transactions, preparing marketing pitches, and assisting in the provision of a complete suite of corporate finance advice to existing and target clients.  Often, an Associate would be asked to play the role of day-to-day lead on projects.
The roles involve complex financial and valuation analysis and requires the development of a strong understanding of businesses within the sectors that the team covers
Key responsibilities
·      Preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums and other presentation materials for use in corporate finance transactions or client Facilitation of operational client and business queries, primary point of contact for CB Bankers meetings
·      Regular dialogue with clients and potential clients
·      Structuring and execution of transactions (M&A / equity capital markets / debt capital markets)
·      Interaction with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions, discuss strategic alternatives and market conditions
·      Liaising with J.P. Morgan product teams and global sector teams
·      Liaising with UK equities and research departments
·      Detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analysis
Qualifications

Skills & Experience
·      Previous Investment Banking experience
·      Ability to comfortably interact with clients and people in a professional and mature manner
·      Exceptionally strong financial modeling / valuation skills
·      Very strong analytical / numeracy skills
·      Ability to react well to pressure whilst multitasking on numerous projects
·      Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment
·      Industry knowledge / interest
·      High level of attention to detail and time management
·      Highly organized, detail orientated and proactive
