Analyst - Investment Banking Restructuring and Recapitalization

Jefferies has a strong position in the growth and mid-level market in Investment banking. Due to business growth, an Analyst is required to support the team with the origination and execution of financial transactions including public debt and equity offerings to private placements, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalisations, financial restructurings, exclusive sales and takeover defences. Role is based in London

Responsibilities

• Supporting transaction execution projects by providing analysis and research

• Running discounted cash flow and merger & acquisition models

• Supporting meetings with senior managers of prospective client companies to develop new business

• Responding to client enquiries, prepare supporting analyses for negotiations

• Playing an integral role in driving the transaction process forward, managing information to and from clients and at all times managing client expectations throughout the transaction

• Preparing supporting strategic and financial analyses, preparation of pitch documentation and company valuations for negotiations

• Research potential targets, markets and sector trends

Skills and qualifications

• Outstanding academic credentials (minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree or equivalent)

• Previous experience within the Restructuring and Recapitalization sector is essential

• In depth knowledge of modelling as well as analytical and financial skills is essential

• Rigorous eye for detail

• Strong financial acumen and understanding

• Ability to work autonomously

• Excellent communication skills

• Good time management and organizational skills

• Insightful, reasoned and a self-starter
