Appian Capital Advisory is a leading private equity firm investing in the global mining sector. Our Natural Resources Fund invests in near-term or producing mining assets, providing capital and operating expertise to projects developing them into production. This is a full time and permanent position.

Your primary function is to review and screen incoming investment opportunities and to critically evaluate these from both a technical and financial perspective.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

·      Conduct market analysis

·      Assist with due diligence and fatal flaw analysis

·      Present investment opportunities and analysis to our Investment Committee

·      Undertake project evaluation with Partners and external consultants

·      Travel to and evaluate projects globally as required

·      Provide support as required to senior management

Our ideal candidate will

·      Be educated to degree level in a relevant subject e.g. Geology, Mining or Mineral Economics

·      Have experience in both the operational and management functionality of the mining industry.

·      Proven ability to analyse multifaceted financial and geological mining data

·      Have a detailed understanding of technical elements on mineral projects

·      Have a broad grasp across commodities

·      Be willing to travel overseas to review projects.
