Position Summary
• J.P. Morgan’s CEE and Greece Country Team is part of the EMEA Investment Banking Group. The team is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving financial institutions, corporate, financial sponsor and government clients in the CEE and Greek markets.
• This is an opportunity for an Associate to join CEE & Greece team focusing on this region. Origination and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets transactions across banking, corporates, and sovereigns within EMEA, focused on clients within CEE/Greece.

Key responsibilities
• Completion of large and complex valuation and analytical exercises
• Support the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue
• Transaction execution: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc)
• Keeping abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
• Training, coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues

Qualifications
Essential skills:

The work is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. We look for candidates with the following:
• Greek language skills
• Outstanding financial analysis and modeling skills
• Experience of marketing and execution of M&A deals
• Solid communication and project management skills
• In-depth understanding of investment banking products (can be enhanced and further built via training)
• Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers (can be enhanced and further built via training)
• Strong team player
• Proficient in MS office applications, knowledge of Bloomberg preferred
