Peter Brooke, founder of TA Associates in 1968, founded Advent in 1984. Advent is a global private equity firm investing exclusively in mid to upper mid market buyouts and selective growth capital investments.

Investment Strategy

- Advent invests in companies at all stages of development across many geographies (Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific) and sectors

- The majority of Advent’s investment activity is focused on later-stage investments such as buyouts, recapitalisation and growth equity

- Advent has an investment horizon of three to five years, and focuses on areas such as Business Services & Financial Services, Consumer and Retail, TMT, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Industrials

- The firm seeks to invest up to $500m in companies with enterprise values of up to $2.0bn. Withing developing market buyouts, it prefers ti make equity commitments of between $20m and $60m in companies with entreprise values of up to $250m
