Private Equity Associate, Partners Group

Partners Group’s Private Equity Directs practice acquires companies with enterprise value typically ranging from EUR 100m to EUR 500m. We invest across a broad array of industries, including consumer & retail, healthcare, technology & telecommunications, industrials and financial & business services. In 2013 the team completed 10 acquisitions globally.
In this position you will support Partners Group’s Private Equity Directs team in London with responsibilities across all aspects of private market investments, including sourcing, execution, related financings, on-going monitoring and divestitures. Your tasks will include:
Sourcing of investment opportunities from your network, investment partners, advisors and other industry contacts
Performing due diligence processes on prospective investments
Drafting and presenting internal investment recommendation documents
Assisting senior colleagues in the negotiation of transaction documentation
Supporting portfolio companies throughout the investment period (planning, execution and monitoring of value creation initiatives)
Conducting various tasks related to product reporting, market research and marketing efforts

We are looking for a young professional with the ability and willingness to excel within a highly entrepreneurial organization. The successful candidate should demonstrate:
Top academic credentials
3-5 years of work experience in private equity, M&A, leverage finance or management consulting with a leading industry player
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
Proficiency in LBO modeling and in drafting of investment proposals
Superior organizational competence (planning, scheduling, coordinating and time management)
Excellent teamwork skills within international settings (additional European languages will be considered a plus)
A strong desire to learn and succeed, along with impeccable work ethic, professional demeanor and appearance
