Job Description

Financial analysts may work on transactions that provide exposure to various client industries and investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings and leveraged buyouts. You will work with a talented, dedicated staff of professionals who will give you broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting businesses today. You will research and analyse financial statements, general economic and industry-specific developments, acquisitions and divestitures, and various investment attributes of private and publicly traded companies.

The environment at Houlihan Lokey is collegial and entrepreneurial, and as such, rewards financial analysts with substantial responsibility and interaction with senior-level professionals.  Financial analysts are members of deal teams comprising at least one managing director, vice president, associate and financial analyst.

Qualifications

A B.A. /B.S. /B.B.A. in finance, accounting, business or applied economics is required, as is course work in accounting and finance.

An understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications is important, as are strong financial and computer skills. Strong analytical abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff are required. 18/24 months experience within a Tier 1 Investment Bank is desired.
