The Texas Pacific Group (“TPG”) was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, in the USA. It is one of the largest private equity investment firms globally, focused on leveraged buyout, growth capital and leveraged recapitalization investments in distressed companies and turnaround situations. TPG also manages investment funds specializing in growth capital, venture capital, public equity, and debt investments.
The London office was opened in 1997 and the group has global offices across the world.
Investment Strategy
- The key elements of TPG’s investment stragegy include: a thematic focus on industries undergoing change; the adaptation of investment tactics to change in business and industry cycles and the pursuit of straturally and / or situationally complex transactions.
- It aims to invest in companies based in the USA, Europe or Asia. Throughout Europe, TPG seeks transactions especially in the food, beverage, retails, healthcare, oil and gas and outsourcing industries requiring equity capital of between $100m and $750m
