PURPOSE
To work on both the origination and execution of transactions, preparing market analysis, strategic analysis and financial modelling for clients in the industrials sector, as well as advising clients on their strategy and the successful implementation of transactions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather and analyse public information through numerous sources
Develop, review and present financial analyses and models
Assist in the execution of transactions for clients including day to day process organisation, coordination with clients, third parties and other advisers, preparation of relevant documentation and management of due diligence
Assisting in preparation of marketing materials and participate in presentations to clients
Maintain updated sector materials such as multiples and transaction database
General sector research
NOTE: Scope of industrials team includes = Aerospace & Defence, Capital Goods, Building Materials, Automotive
Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly. Failure to do so may subject you to disciplinary action, up to and including termination

No authorities to approve or recommend
Scope of position – support activities is to support marketing and execution activities.
No approval amounts, budgets, portfolio sizes, revenue streams etc
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Position reports to Head of Industrials
Investment banking colleagues in London
Coordination with international colleagues as appropriate
Position will have regular interaction with RBC clients and other professional service providers
WORKING CONDITIONS
Regular client interaction
Domestic and foreign travel may be required
The office environment can be a high stress environment that requires quick turnaround and decision making, with analytical work requiring significant attention to detail
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in a Corporate Finance / M&A advisory / Leverage Finance role at an Investment Bank
Fluent written and spoken English

Rigorous work ethic and willingness to invest time required to meet deadlines while completing assignments accurately

Strong analytical skills (research, financial modelling)
