Harbert European Growth Capital provides specialty debt financing to European based, rapidly growing small and medium sized enterprises, predominantly in the information technology, life sciences and e-commerce sectors. The fund is backed by a number of institutional investors and is looking to recruit an Analyst into its growing team.

The Analyst will be involved in all aspects of the deal cycle, including origination, due diligence, management of the transaction, investment committee reporting and portfolio monitoring. The ideal candidate can expect to have significant exposure to the whole investment process.

We are interested in technically outstanding professionals who have 3-4 years of professional experience, and will have a background as follows:

chartered accountants with a Big 4 firm, preferably with some deal experience
investment professionals with other private equity or investment firms
investment bankers with accountancy qualifications
strong financial modelling and excel skills
excellent academic qualification from a reputable university
entrepreneurial mind-set and demonstrated interest in growth capital and new technologies
Technology and/or Life Sciences exposure, as well as European language skills, would be an advantage although not a requirement
ability to work within a small, cooperative team and liaise confidently with founder, owners and management teams
