Business Development Analyst - Real Estate
London
£65k + Benefits

To work within the Development team responsible for development assets, providing development management support and analytical work. The immediate project is an active development portfolio in the West of London, which is one of the most prestigious developments in the Capital right now. With approximately 6 million sq ft of residential, commercial and retail build left to complete.

The intention is for the candidate to take complete responsibility for the business plan model, developing it to respond to changing circumstances and analysing to suit development opportunities and transactions.

You will provide analytical support and input into all major business decisions, working closely with senior management.

Key Responsibilities & Activities
Ongoing development of the business plan model in Anaplan. Using the model you will be analysing the impact on returns from the likes of:
Cost changes
Phasing options
Affordable housing negotiations
Evaluation of development and land trading opportunities in the context of the wider Masterplan
Financing scenarios
Ensure that there is always a robust and current view of the plan to feed in to corporate forecasts and inform annual budgets.
Work with management to understand and challenge cost and other assumptions, and to support negotiations and planning discussions relating to developments.
Support the valuation of the development land as the development progresses
Other ad hoc financial modelling and analysis to support business transactions and initiatives
Assist in preparing board papers and presentations to senior management to communicate business performance and the rationale and impact on returns of proposed transactions or other initiatives
Key Requirements
Degree qualification;
A professional qualification in Finance (ACA or similar)
Previous background in the Real Estate industry;
IT literate with advanced Excel skills. Prior experience with Anaplan an advantage;
Highly skilled financial modeller, with the ability to look beyond the model and understand its broader business context;
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and confidently across all levels of the organisation;
Ability to work proactively and independently, with a high level of attention to detail.
