The key purpose of this role is to support the Head of Corporate Finance and the Deputy Group CFO with M&A activity and other corporate finance/corporate strategy objectives. You will provide insight and support the Group’s Strategic Planning exercise all the while providing commercial guidance on the future direction of the business. You will analyse financial/non-financial information, review KPIs and business cases, providing Senior Management with advise on the optimal approach to capital allocation.
As with all roles of this nature, day to day activities are driving by key business priorities and agenda items. Broadly you can expect to be involved in the following activities at differing times and “as required:
Review and refresh the understanding of product , platform and customer profitability
Appraise and ensure a consistent understanding in the business of the value / economic drivers and gain a deep understating of pricing, interchange and scheme fee dynamics
Contribute to the work on appropriate capital and tax efficient structures for the company – working with the with the tax and corporate legal teams
Critically appraise the company and business strengths and weaknesses and market and competitive dynamics
Provide analytical support and advice to Investor Relations
Help WorldPay evaluate and execute M&A transactions, by leading significant parts of the evaluation and transaction process:
Review and evaluate prospective M&A opportunities
Project manage the DD process
Ensure key stakeholders are involved and briefed on the transaction
Make recommendations to the Head of Corporate Finance and / or Deputy CFO regarding transactions and negotiation
Resolve complex issues during DD
Produce integrated financial models for transactions
Help produce briefing papers to advise the Board and Executive (typically PowerPoint or Word)
Work on integration plans with the Business Units
Corporate Head office support
Maintain understanding of industry / competitors and market peer group (listed / unlisted)
Participate in Corp Finance / Inv Bank / Strategy Advisor meetings subsequent reviews / evaluation processes
Work with legal team to review regulatory and industry changes on the Group
Assist in the preparation of Finance communications for the public domain (NB separate comms function exists who you will work with)
Ad hoc review and corporate analysis e.g.
Refinancing
Capital Structure

Qualifications: Masters
Accounting cert. (ACA / CA)

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA / CA) having trained within a leading practice firm. You should possess post qualification experience (minimum of 2 years) within a corporate finance environment (boutique advisory or “in house”) having gained exposure of deal lifecycle end-to-end (from target identification to integration planning). You will be an excellent communicator with first class presentation skills, a logical thinker and problem solver, analytical modelling skills, resourceful and adaptable.
