About the role
Macquarie Capital is looking to hire a junior Associate into its market leading Infrastructure and Utilities M&A team in London.
As an Associate, your key responsibilities will include:
working closely with the senior team on live high profile infrastructure transactions as an advisor and principal investor across Europe.
assisting on due diligence processes in relation to principal investments
liaising with clients and professional consultants.
managing the junior team, including providing guidance on financial analysis and reviewing financial models
designing and leading production of presentations, information memoranda and other analysis for internal and external audiences
About you
The successful candidate will:
have proven experience as an execution banker, ideally in infrastructure
have demonstrable M&A experience within an investment banking environment
have experience in mentoring and supervising graduates and entry level analysts
have strong tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Accounting or Finance
possess strong quantitative skills including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques
have sound commercial judgement
be able to independently manage and oversee a valuation including the incorporation of key due diligence findings into a model
have good team and people management skills
be regarded as an outstanding performer amongst your peers
have the ability to liaise at all levels
have strong presentation, communication, negotiation and project management skills
be ambitious, motivated and have the desire to succeed
be a team player.
