JLL distinguishes itself as a market leading global advisor by employing high calibre cross border as well as local professionals. Complementing our strong local geographical presence (over 65 countries, we have 3 Pan Regional CM teams (EMEA, AsiaPac and the Americas) and the specialist International Capital Group, the firm has very recently inaugurated the Global Client Service Group. The team will focus on building Client Service relationships with a select group of existing clients of JLL who already are active globally or intend to become active global players.
The Global Client Services Group (GCS) is a dedicated team of 4+ experienced capital markets directors, who will be working alongside local, regional and global colleagues enabling the clients to receive seamless service and consistent quality of delivery from JLL. The team is currently based in London and New York.
For the initial 9 to 12 months the role is mainly focused on collecting data and information on a selected group of clients internally and externally, help understand the clients in-depth and support in preparing individual client business plans. Once client database and platform as well as client plans are established, the role is expected to evolve into a more analytical and potentially also client facing role.
This is therefore a very exciting opportunity for an intelligent and energetic individual to be part of a newly established group of senior executives within a proven leader in the real estate industry, and gain unique insight in the workings of Global Capital Markets.
Role Purpose
The core responsibility of the role is to provide effective research and business support to the GCS and Global Capital Markets business and contribute to the success and growth of the JLL brand worldwide by:
Built and develop GCS client database
Collect client information from internal and external sources,
Producing high-quality and timely client overviews and updates
Providing analytical insight and undertake special projects to help the senior directors drive the Global Capital Markets business forwards
Nurturing productive relationships with the JLL businesses and clients globally
Key Accountabilities
Build and develop client database/platform
To further develop the GCS client overviews and platform, including data management, report production and additional outputs and deliverables
Actively apply work processes to ensure delivery of high-quality and timely research (e.g., data collection, report formats etc.) for these clients
Contribute to the growth and productivity of our Global Capital Markets platform
Lead the analysis and delivery of market intelligence of the select clients globally and assist in the preparation of GCS marketing initiatives
Ensure continuous engagement of GCS research with the businesses at all levels through meetings and internal presentations
Provide internal and external clients with requested data, case studies, market updates, articles and other relevant material
Special projects at the direction of senior directors
Contributing to Client Service plans
Identify research and marketing initiatives for the selected clients, updating client plans, including analysis, report production and presentation of outputs
Act as a conduit to global research outputs led by other teams within global research
Support, leadership and day-to-day management
Support global client service managers and regional and local client managers by providing intelligence and contribute to the development of our GCS initiative
Support the capital markets business globally in growing revenues and profitability, maintaining relationships with clients, assisting with global client strategies
Core Skills
Strong background in real estate with exposure to economics/finance
Advanced competency with the usual suite of computer applications
Ability and willingness to both work at micro level with data sources, and macro level drawing and using high level conclusions/arguments (drawing from our Global Capital Flows database with a high attention to detail to ensure transactional level information is of a high standard)
Experience of working within a multi-geography team and/or multiple touch-points across the firm globally
Proactive, team-player who can manage multiple competing priorities
Good people skills
Willingness and flexibility to work under tight deadlines (in the event of pitches, events, etc.), and to contribute in an energetic and positive fashion across different areas of operation
Able to operate independently while influencing others, multi task and work under pressure when required across a number of time zones and interacting with a number of teams
Ideally speaks German
