An Associate 2 is responsible for the day to day management of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), advisory assignments, leading technical work streams with little supervision.

A typical day could include:

Assessment, structuring and execution of a transaction in the TMT, Education or Business Services sector both domestically and cross border.

Extensive company and industry research.

Corporate financial due diligence and financial modelling (DCF, LBO, Merger).

Valuing, deal structuring and negotiation (term sheets, investment committee packs, SPAs).

Leading a team whilst having control of a deal.

Being the primary contact for clients on a day to day basis.

Who you are

You will have extensive experience as an M&A adviser (both UK and international) and possess strong Corporate Finance skills including experience of capital raisings, public and private transactions and general corporate advisory, private equity transactions, public and private company valuation metrics - as well as excellent Excel modelling skills (operating and merger models, DCF, LBO etc).

You will have good process management experience of sell-side and buy-side transactions and will have a solid grounding in the legal framework of these transactions with demonstrable experience in the Media / Technology sectors.

You will have an excellent command of the English language and be a strong communicator, verbally and in writing, as well as being a team player.

You have first rate academic qualifications, including 2:1 degree or better from a Russell Group university or international equivalent. Postgraduate studies in Finance or MBAs received from an international business school will be looked upon very favourably.
