Description:

My client is a multi faceted Energy business located in Central London. Reporting to The Head of M&A Valuation & Structuring, they are now seeking the addition of a Financial Analyst to manage, and perform, financial analyses of M&A projects.

The successful candidate will participate in the development of business cases for Wind Power’s M&A projects.

The successful candidate will be ACA Qualified with Transactions and Valuations experience from a Big 4 Infrastructure team.

This includes building and designing financial models, critical assessment of input and presentation of output. Additionally, you will be closely involved in other aspects of the M&A process, such as preparation of sales material, due diligence reports, bid analysis and negotiation support. You will be involved in the internal decision process involving the investment committee and the board of directors.

You have several interfaces and stakeholders, and accordingly work closely together with investment banks, external lawyers, auditors and tax advisers. Further, you cooperate with other departments, such as corporate finance, strategy and legal, other business units and our company’s senior management on all investment projects.

Your key duties will be to:

- manage financial analyses and discounted cash-flow models

- coordinate business forecasting processes with internal and external consultants

- discuss valuation input with tax, accounting and structuring advisers

- prepare for deal negotiations with deal team consultants and internal management

- prepare transaction recommendations to executives and board of directors

You will have graduated with excellent academic results holding a degree in economics, finance or similar and One to two years of professional experience working with corporate finance. Potentially from trainee programs within management consulting, Big Four or investment banking.

Specific experience with valuation, M&A projects, tax and accounting is desirable.

Likewise is experience within infrastructure, energy or renewables sectors an advantage.

It is essential that you have an analytical approach to your work, a high level of drive, desire to create business and always strives to find new ways of optimising a deal. You are able to plan and prioritise your tasks to meet deadlines in a high-paced environment. Additionally, you set high standards for your work performance and execution and you follow up on tasks and decisions.
