Our buy-side advisory in China, DG Capital, represents mostly listed Chinese clients. The majority of searches are for established brands or advanced technologies to support competitive advantage and growth in the domestic Chinese market across TMT, retail, healthcare and advanced engineering / manufacturing.
Global asset sourcing is managed through DG Capital London, typically in the region $250 million to $1 billion, connected to China through a proprietary technology and knowledge infrastructure. Acquisition funding can be supported by DG Partners, through China-based private equity vehicles.
DealGlobe is a FinTech business established in London in 2014 and a winner in 2015 of the UKTI Sirius award for Outstanding achievement. Today we have three offices - London, Shanghai & Beijing - with a team of approximately 40 people. In London we have new offices in One Canada Square, Canary Wharf.
The M&A Business Analyst - China will join a small team of experienced M&A professionals in our London office that specialise in developing outbound investment relationships with China into UK & EU.
The main responsibilities of the position are:
- Researching Chinese market conditions and developments and comparing to EU to identify strategic M&A opportunities
- Using primary & secondary research tools identify sectors and groupings of companies that might be viable business targets for Chinese clients
- Conducting due diligence investigations into the financial and commercial state of companies & creating pitch presentations of opportunities for Chinese clients (working with Shanghai office)
- Carrying out financial modelling and quantitative analysis to assist development of financial solutions to enable success of individual M&A projects
- Managing the implementation of an M&A strategy between China & EU
- Working with Chinese Investment Banking & PE colleagues to provide advice on capital structure
- Project managing transactions, overseeing proposals to raise funds
- Providing direction to other colleagues and professional service providers with a significant exposure to China.
- General support to DG Capital senior management in London & Shanghai
Candidates should hold a minimum bachelors and preferably a masters degree in a quantitative or business-based subject
Experience in Investment Banking & cross-border M&A with China is a mandatory requirement.
Knowledge or fluency in Mandarin is useful but not mandatory
