Job Description:
Park Hill is seeking individuals with strong analytical and writing skills, who take initiative, have great attention to detail, work well under pressure, and have the ability to work well both independently and within teams.
Park Hill’s private equity group in London offers the Director the chance to engage directly in advising “best in breed” private equity funds on all aspects of the capital fund raise – including corporate finance/advisory work, market positioning and ultimately raising capital from the top institutional investors across the globe.
Candidates for the position must possess knowledge of and interest in the alternative asset industry – specifically private equity – as well as extensive experience in finance. Ideal candidates have a background in investment banking or similar fields. The job requires management of multiple projects often under time constraints/deadlines, interaction and constant communication with clients and the global Park Hill Distribution team, and great attention to detail. In addition, Park Hill is seeking individuals who take initiative, understand the alternative asset space, work well under pressure, and would excel in a boutique investment banking environment.
Responsibilities:
All project management/corporate finance functions for the Private Equity team are based out of Park Hill’s London office. Each fundraising mandate is typically run by a two-person deal team – a project manager and a junior banker, with oversight and relationship management by a Partner.
Director serves as the point person on a variety of Park Hill mandates in overseeing the capital raise from start to finish. The Director along with a Partner is the primary liaison between Park Hill’s private equity clients and the global Park Hill Distribution team. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the fund raise from building the online data room, working directly with clients in drafting offering memorandums and marketing materials, driving the book building process (coordinating all roadshow scheduling and logistics), and preparing for all due diligence meetings and supporting with legal, investor allocations and final closes.
The candidate will also be given an opportunity to play an important role in all aspects of the origination effort – including sourcing and performing intensive due diligence on a variety of private equity funds and strategies.
Qualifications:
Park Hill Group seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours as well as:
·Superior academic achievement
·Master Degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred
·CPA/ACCA/ACA qualified is preferred
·Previous investment banking and private equity experience is preferred
·Industry expertise is preferable
·Prior fund raising experience is required
·Demonstrated ability to draft investor presentations, PPMs, marketing materials, DDQ, etc.
·Strong analytical skills (financial modeling and leverage buyout analysis)
·Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects
·A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
·Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
·Strong work ethic; genuine passion for excellence; results-oriented
·Personal and professional integrity of the highest order
